The 13th district is a unique area. It is home to Chinatown, the Gobelins Manufactury, the National Library and the Butte aux Cailles district. For those after variety, we can thoroughly recommend this part of Paris. If you want something cheaper than a hotel and with all the comforts of home then the best idea is to rent a furnished apartment. Let Paris Attitude give you a small tour of this fascinating district.

– The Gobelins Manufactury: This establishment has been making its world-famous tapestries since as far back as the fifteenth century. A tour around it takes you on an interesting trawl through history. This landmark should definitely be part of your travel plans!
– The City of Fashion and Design
We always prefer our pancakes when they are freshly made to order. “Des Crêpes et des Cailles” is an intimate venue that welcomes you with the best pancakes in Paris. If the tables are full, take your pancake and enjoy it with a glass of wine or pint of beer at “Chez Michel” next door. You’ll find that the waiters are friendly, the prices are very affordable and the customers are local. What could be better?
This town square is built on a site where a battle was fought in 1871. Be sure not to miss the Romanesque church of Sainte Anne La Butte-aux-Cailles, its construction started in 1894. As you walk the streets you’ll notice other forms of art: street art. An artist hunt will have you admiring the walls and give a definite local flavor to your photos.
The Nuba is a huge terrace overlooking the City of Fashion and Design. Although not strictly a rooftop, the view is breathtaking. With a view of the Seine, this unusual place hosts exclusive parties. Admission is very select and the atmosphere is very Parisian!
